Setlist: Capitol, Glasgow, 27th November 2009.

I've decided to keep track of what set's we play at each gig, just a bit of self-indulgence really...

1. Maule Drive
2. Tough Time Taxi
3. Urban Fox
4. Cold, Cold You
5. Dagger (Strange Slow Version)
6. Drama Queen
7. Hangover
8. Breed (Nirvana Cover)

Car crash rock 'n' roll.

Hello there people who have (probably accidently) stumbled upon this new website of ours, I am Ryan Miele, the singer in this band 'The Special Edition', the likelihood is that you won't have heard of us, but then again given the number of people in the world, and the number of bands in the world, most people won't have heard of most bands, so I don't feel too bad.
Anyway, I thought I'd christen this blog with an apology, unconventional I know...
The apology is directed at all those who came along to see us play Capitol in Glasgow on Friday night there (27th of November).  We were by no means at our best.  Some of you were kind enough to say you enjoyed that set, but I would strongly advise said people to come and see us again when we have had a bit more time to get our shit together, we have a lot more in the tank.  For those of you who may be wondering, the new song we played was called 'Urban Fox' and the music was written by Martin, I really think that tune's got legs.
Off to Belfast tomorrow and I'm not taking a guitar, I'll be brimming with ideas on my return.  Hopefully some of these ideas will come to fruition at the 23rd of December gig at the East Grange Loft in Kinloss.  We're playing with the wonderful Siobhan Wilson, the ever unpredictable Ewan Cruickshanks and of course the moray mainstays 'Farewell Singapore',  Hopefully if you've stumbled upon this by accident, you may wish to pop down and have a look.  Siobhan will be famous soon, it's your chance to say you saw her before she was on Jools.
Anyway, it's December tomorrow and I feel I should be preparing in some way, I just don't know how.  What a great month December is.  I'll keep you updated on anything happenings in the Spec Ed world, I'll warn you now, they range from being thick and fast to few and far between, it really depends if one us decides we're great again.
Take Care.

Free Stuff

In an (albeit) brief spell of productiveness, spurred on by youtube's decision to suspend the band's channel, I decided to set up this blog/website.

Along with the website, I'm currently uploading the videos from the 'last' gig up onto dailymotion (you'll see the link above).

However, here we are. A new place for you to come to, to find things you need to find and while things are being set up, if you haven't already, why not go ahead and download some songs?
