Free Stuff

In an (albeit) brief spell of productiveness, spurred on by youtube's decision to suspend the band's channel, I decided to set up this blog/website.

Along with the website, I'm currently uploading the videos from the 'last' gig up onto dailymotion (you'll see the link above).

However, here we are. A new place for you to come to, to find things you need to find and while things are being set up, if you haven't already, why not go ahead and download some songs?

In the downloadable file, you'll find:
'Hangover': This one's been played since the original line-up, but has been given a new lease of life.  It's a bit of rocker, and was originally usually the opener at gigs, but has found it's way all the way to set closer of late. It's about having a hangover obviously.

'Maule Drive':  This one is named after the infamous flat of debauchery that 3/4s of the band occupied towards the end of 2008.  The songs not about that though, and i'm not gonna get all deep and go in to what it's about, it's one of those love and loss type nonsense numbers.  Martin came up with the riff for this one, which was a relief.

'Tough Time Taxi':  This one is dedicated to Craig O'May, the man, the myth, the legend. It's not about him though, it's about complaining about the state of society but being too feckin' lazy to do anything about it.

'Cold Cold You': Another one that I feel like I've been playing since the dawn of time, but it's my personal favourite so I don't mind all that much.  It's pretty much about preferring being down at the beach on a nice day rather than being cooped up in a nightclub or somewhere with some daft lass demanding attention. Or something deeper than that, who knows?

All the tracks were recorded at The Tollbooth in Stirling.  The studio is recommended to anyone looking to knock a demo out fairly quickly with decent results.

Anyway, take it easy gigs, keep checking back here for gig updates etc.
